Responsibilities
◾Provide design services for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
◾Handle roadway and road reconstruction design.
◾Design active transportation facilities in accordance with the Ontario Traffic Manual (OTM) Book 18.
◾Create conceptual, preliminary, and detailed engineering design documents, including reports, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
◾Perform calculations for grading, storm sewers, and construction cost estimates.
◾Oversee CAD Designers/Technicians and perform QA/QC on engineering plans.
◾Manage multiple projects to completion.
◾Prepare reports and other project-related documents.
Qualifications
◾A minimum of 7 years of relevant design experience, with an emphasis on linear infrastructure and roads.
◾Experience with watermain, sanitary sewers, storm sewers, forcemains, grading plans, and drainage design projects.
◾Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) is preferred, but Certified Engineering Technologists (C.E.T.) with sufficient experience will be considered.
◾Strong knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation/InRoads.
◾A solid understanding of the municipal engineering environment in Ontario
