We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join the ranks of a Quebec leader specializing in deconstruction, decontamination, and concrete sawing. As a Project Manager, you will act as the central pivot between clients, superintendents, and management. You will join a company with a family DNA, solid with 26 years of existence, which values social involvement and the well-being of its employees.
Advantages
• Competitive salary between $130,000 and $150,000 depending on expertise.
• Vehicle provided or a generous car allowance.
• 4 weeks of vacation (CCQ calendar).
• Summer hours and schedule flexibility for better work-life balance.
• Comprehensive group insurance (medical and dental) and VRSP program.
• Modern offices including a private gym and an on-site chef.
• Stimulating work environment within a tight-knit Industrial Management team.
Responsibilities
• Manage a multi-project portfolio of 5 to 6 simultaneous Industrial Management sites (short and medium cycles).
• Coordinate the entire project cycle: planning, subcontractor mobilization, and rigorous cost control.
• Conduct mandatory weekly site visits to ensure technical monitoring and safety compliance.
• Prepare, submit, and negotiate change orders and extras with clients.
• Collaborate closely with estimators and superintendents to optimize project margins.
• Manage billing and progress reports for each mandate under your responsibility.
• Ensure compliance with strict environmental standards related to decontamination (asbestos, soil, heavy metals).
Qualifications
• Excellent ability to analyze technical plans and specifications in construction and Industrial Management.
• Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Vision, or similar ERP) and the Office Suite.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Stress resistance and the ability to make quick decisions in the field.
• Solution-oriented mindset when faced with technical surprises.
• Superior organizational skills to handle multiple files of different natures simultaneously.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Project Manager in construction or demolition.
• Academic background: DEC or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Building, or Architecture.
• Possession of a valid ASP Construction card and up-to-date WHMIS certification.
• Concrete experience in managing decontamination or civil engineering projects (a major asset).
• Perfect mastery of French (written and spoken).
• Valid driver's license for frequent travel to sites across the Greater Montreal area.
Summary
The bottom line: You handle complex sites in the morning, hit our private gym and enjoy a chef-prepared meal at noon, and head home with one of the best compensation packages on the market.
