Class 1 Driver Oilfield & Pipe Haul Expert
Location: Nisku, AB
Rate: $35.00 – $37.00/hr (OT eligible)
Status: Full-Time, Permanent
The Reality of the Role
...
This isn’t a highway run. We are looking for a Class 1 Powerhouse who understands that in the patch, the rig sets the schedule. We specialize in hauling pipe and heavy equipment directly to lease sites. If you’ve spent your career mastering off-road navigation, throwing iron in the mud, and responding to the 2:00 AM dispatch call, you’re the driver we need.
Advantages
Direct Hire: No long-term "probationary" games. High-performers are brought on as permanent staff immediately.
Total Rewards: Comprehensive health benefits + 2 weeks vacation (after only 4 months).
The Long Game: 3% RRSP matching after 1 year to help you build for the future.
Consistency: We keep our top-tier drivers busy. If you want the hours, we have the work.
Responsibilities
Pipe & Rigging: You aren't just a steerer; you know how to secure, transport, and offload pipe and oilfield iron safely.
Lease Road Mastery: You can navigate tight, unpredictable off-pavement roads in everything from a blizzard to a dugout.
Chaining Up: You don't wait for the tow truck. Chaining up is second nature to you and a frequent reality of the job.
On-Call Mentality: You understand that when the rig is down, we move. This includes weekends and after-hours availability.
Qualifications
Experience: Proven track record in Oil Sands and Rigging. (This is non-negotiable).
Credentials: Valid Class 1 License with a clean commercial abstract.
Safety First: Valid TDG certification is required.
Physicality: You are "patch-fit"—capable of handling heavy chains and rigging in the Alberta elements without complaint.
Mindset: Professional, punctual, and reliable. We have a "no-whiners" policy; we need problem solvers.
