Class 1 Off-Road Specialist: Heavy Haul & Winch
Location: Nisku, AB Pay: $35.00 – $37.00/hr + Premium Overtime
Status: Full-Time, Permanent (Day 1)
The Mission:
...
Most drivers prefer a paved highway and cruise control. This isn't that life. We are recruiting top-tier heavy-haulers—Class 1 operators who are at their best the moment the pavement ends. We specialize in transporting critical industrial equipment, process piping, and structural steel to remote sites where the terrain is unforgiving. If you have mastered the art of securing complex loads and navigating deep mud at 2:00 AM while a site waits on your arrival, you belong on our crew.
Advantages
We understand the demands of industrial hauling, so we treat our operators like the essential experts they are:
Permanent From Day One
High-Volume Hours: With an extensive fleet and 24/7 service demands, the work is consistent. If you want the overtime, it is available.
Rapid-Start Benefits: Comprehensive health coverage and 2 weeks’ vacation—eligible after just 4 months of service.
Wealth Building: 3% RRSP matching after 1 year. We aren't just offering a job; we’re helping you build a retirement.
Professional Fleet: We maintain a massive inventory of Winch Trucks, Bed Trucks, and multi-axle trailers (Jeeps/Boosters) to ensure you have the right tool for every move.
Responsibilities
Winch & Deck Mastery: You aren't just a driver; you expertly operate winch trucks and secure diverse loads like pressure vessels and structural skids.
Off-Road Navigation: Successfully pilot heavy equipment through tight bush roads, muskeg, and whiteout blizzards to reach remote lease sites.
Technical Loading: Expertly manage load securement for "over-dimensional" freight using step-decks, trombones, and double-drop trailers.
On-Call Availability: Our clients operate 24/7. This role requires a flexible mindset for evening, weekend, and out-of-town assignments.
Qualifications
Proven Experience: Minimum 7 years of Class 1 experience with a heavy focus on flat-deck, winch work, and off-road hauling.
The Credentials: Valid Class 1 License with a clean commercial abstract (no major infractions).
Safety Excellence: Current TDG, H2S Alive, and Standard First Aid are mandatory for site access and our "Zero Incident" goal.
Physical Stamina: You must be highly capable of throwing heavy chains and managing rigging in the harshest Alberta elements.
Problem-Solver Mindset: We maintain a "No-Whiners" policy. We need veterans who show up, find a solution, and get the job done safely.
Summary
If you’re tired of being just another truck number and want a team that respects your technical expertise in the field, let’s talk. Join a group that values integrity, indigenous relations, and top-quality service.
