Class 1 Driver Oilfield & Pipe Haul Expert
Location: Dispatched out of Nisku, AB
Rate: $35.00 – $37.00/hr (OT Eligible)
Status: Full-Time, Permanent
The Reality of the Role
...
This isn't a highway run; it's the oilfield grind. We need a Class 1 Powerhouse who respects the unpredictability of the "patch." We go to work when the phone rings—there are no regular shifts here. We specialize in hauling pipe and heavy iron to remote lease sites. If you’ve mastered off-road navigation, don't mind overnights in the truck, and can throw iron in the mud at 2:00 AM, you belong behind our wheel.
Advantages
We understand the demands of industrial hauling, so we treat our operators like the essential experts they are:
- Immediate Permanent Status: Forget about temporary trial periods or probationary games. We hire our top-tier operators as permanent, full-time employees from your very first day on the job.
- Comprehensive Benefits Package: Gain access to premium health coverage along with two full weeks of paid vacation time, which you become eligible for after completing just four months of employment.
- Future Wealth Building: Plan securely for your retirement with our competitive 3% employer RRSP matching program, which activates as soon as you hit your one-year anniversary with the company.
- Consistent, High-Volume Hours: We ensure our elite drivers never sit idle. If you are hungry for major hours and steady dispatches, we have the non-stop volume to keep your paychecks massive.
Responsibilities
Advanced Rigging & Pipe Transport: Your role goes far beyond holding a steering wheel; you will be directly responsible for safely securing, hauling, and offloading heavy oilfield iron and piping materials.
Extreme Off-Road Navigation: You must confidently pilot heavy loads down incredibly tight, unpaved bush roads and remote lease tracks, successfully battling through blinding winter blizzards and deep spring mud.
Independent Tire Chaining: We do not wait hours for a tow truck to bail us out. Throwing heavy iron and chaining up your tires is a standard, frequent reality of this job and must be second nature to you.
Adaptable On-Call Schedule: Oilfield logistics never sleep. When dispatch calls, we roll out immediately. This demands absolute flexibility for weekend runs, night-shift dispatches, and sleeping comfortably in your cab.
Qualifications
Industry Experience: A deeply proven and verifiable history of specialized oilfield hauling, complex load rigging, and extreme off-road commercial driving is absolutely mandatory for this position.
Licensing Requirements: You must possess a fully valid Class 1 Commercial Driver's License, backed by a clean commercial driving abstract to satisfy our stringent corporate insurance requirements.
Mandatory Safety Certifications: Candidates must currently possess—or be entirely willing to acquire before their first shift—valid tickets for H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, CSO, and TDG for immediate site access.
Rugged Physical Fitness: You need to be truly "patch-fit." This requires the raw physical stamina to repeatedly sling heavy chains, execute tire chaining, and manage complex rigging in Alberta's most brutal weather conditions.
Solution-Oriented Attitude: We enforce a strict, zero-tolerance "no-whiners" policy. We demand professional, reliable veterans who can independently troubleshoot field issues and thrive within an unpredictable, on-call lifestyle.
Summary
If you're completely done with standard highway driving and want to dominate the oil patch alongside a dedicated team that truly values your elite technical skills while keeping your wheels moving constantly, it's time to connect.
