Responsibilities
As a CNC machinist at our plastic factory in Ville Saint-Laurent, your main duties will include:
Machine Tool Setup: You'll be responsible for configuring and adjusting milling machines, lathes, and cylindrical grinders.
Programming: You will use Mastercam software to program the machines for parts production.
Technical Interpretation: You'll need to read and understand detailed plans and technical drawings to perform precise machining operations.
Parts Maintenance: You will be responsible for modifying and repairing damaged mechanical components.
Quality Assurance: You'll conduct rigorous inspections to ensure that molds, cavities, punches, dies, and other machined parts meet standards before shipment.
Machining Proficiency: You'll apply various machining processes (milling, drilling, boring, tapping, grinding, welding, polishing, etc.) and ensure each part meets the required tolerances.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the CNC Machinist position, working in Ville Saint-Laurent for a company specialized in plastic packaging, should have the following qualifications:
Education: A DEP (Vocational Studies Diploma) in CNC Machining is essential. An ASP (Attestation of Vocational Specialization) in CNC programming is considered a significant asset.
Experience: A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role is required.
Physical Abilities: Good physical fitness is necessary. The position involves handling heavy objects and working standing in various positions.
Language Skills: Excellent command of English, both spoken and written, is required.
