Responsibilities
- Machining & Production: Set up and run CNC mills, lathes, or routers to produce high-precision components within tight tolerances.
- Technical Blueprint Analysis: Interpret shop drawings, schematics, and job orders to determine exact machining specs.
- Quality Assurance: Perform regular in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and height/depth gauges.
- Material Handling & Monitoring: Safely load raw materials and oversee automated production cycles.
- Machine Care & Safety: Execute light tool changes, basic troubleshooting, routine equipment maintenance, and maintain a safe workspace.
Qualifications
- Experience: At least 1 year of hands-on CNC equipment operation in a manufacturing or job-shop setting.
- Print Reading: Ability to interpret technical blueprints and basic GD&T.
- Precision Inspection: Hands-on experience with standard measuring tools (calipers, micrometers).
- Physical Capability: Ability to stand throughout the shift and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliability: Proven attendance record and dependable transportation to Brantford-area facilities.
