In this role, the CNC Machine Operator will set up and run CNC machinery using blueprints and technical drawings. Precision is the priority, so you will perform regular quality checks with tools like calipers and micrometers. Responsibilities
• Set up and operate CNC machines to cut, drill, or mill metal parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for every job.
• Perform quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation at all times.
• Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Document production numbers and any equipment issues.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
• Monitor machine performance and make small adjustments as needed.
Qualifications
• Experience operating CNC mills or lathes in a manufacturing & logistics setting.
• Ability to read and understand technical blueprints.
• Proficiency with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers).
• Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
• Good communication skills and a team-player attitude.
• Basic math skills for checking measurements and offsets.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CNC Machine Operator.
• Proven experience in blueprint reading.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for the duration of a shift.
• Reliable transportation to the St. Thomas area.
• Commitment to workplace safety and wearing PPE.
