Responsibilities
• Setup the machine, tooling, and dies accurately according to individual project parameters
• Read blueprints, engineering drawings, and structural schematics to determine exact job specifications
• Operate CNC press brake machinery safely and efficiently to bend, form, and shape metal components
• Perform routine quality control inspections on finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and measuring tapes
• Monitor machine performance during operation and make necessary manual or programmed adjustments
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in accordance with manufacturing & logistics safety protocols
• Collaborate closely with supervisors and assembly teams to ensure daily production targets are met seamlessly
• Document production metrics and report any mechanical irregularities or material defects immediately
Qualifications
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience operating CNC press brake machinery
• Demonstrated proficiency in machine setup and tool selection for metal fabrication
• Confirmed ability in blueprint reading and interpreting complex technical drawings
• Ability to commit to both day and afternoon rotating shift schedules reliably
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent technical trade certifications
• Must be legally eligible to work full-time in Canada
• Strong English language communication skills (written and verbal)
• Reliable transportation to the manufacturing facility located in St. Thomas, Ontario
• Proven experience as a CNC Operator, CNC Press Brake Operator, or similar metal fabrication role
• Advanced blueprint reading skills with a strong understanding of industrial manufacturing layouts
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience performing independent machine setup
• Precision measurement skills utilizing standard manufacturing inspection tools
• Ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision while maintaining high quality standards
• Excellent physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift
• Strong communication and teamwork skills within a fast-paced production environment
