We have partnered with a respected and growing name in the insurance industry, and are actively seeking a Commercial Account Manager to join their dynamic team in Stoney Creek, Ontario. You will play a crucial role in providing prompt, courteous, and professional service to clients, managing their insurance needs, and ensuring accurate portfolio management. Responsibilities
- Effectively communicate and provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to commercial clients.
- Efficiently execute client and policy processes and workflows, including new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations.
- Accurately handle change requests, ensuring risk management is prioritized.
- In coordination with Account Executives (AEs), support customers by helping them understand their coverage and assisting with claims.
- Facilitate exceptional claims service from beginning to end.
- Manage and assess client's insurance needs to provide quality technical insurance consultation and recommendations.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with insurance companies and arrange coverage.
- Review requirements for Certificates of Insurance.
- Ensure accurate and detailed client portfolio management, including tracking policy changes and complying with legal regulations.
- Manage accounts receivables to ensure timely payments and continuity of coverage.
- Manage and facilitate the processing and administration of monetary transactions.
- Ensure all relevant documents and correspondence are stored in the Broker Management System (BMS).
- Oversee the maintenance and updating of policy information and underwriting details in PolicyWorks (willing to train).
- Delegate tasks to the Junior Account Manager (JAM) and/or the Account Administrator (AA).
- Additional related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Mandatory RIBO License.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of previous insurance work experience - Commercial insurance experience is mandatory.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. A Post-secondary diploma or degree in business, insurance, or a related field is considered an asset (open to considering candidates with commercial insurance experience without education).
- Very strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail for managing complex client portfolios and identifying gaps in coverage.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client and internal interactions.
- Proven problem-solving skills, capable of identifying issues and implementing creative solutions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining precision and accuracy, even with irate clients and time pressures.
- A confident, team-oriented, self-motivated personality who wants to learn and grow
