We are seeking a versatile Commercial Electrician—ranging from a 2nd or 3rd-year Apprentice to a seasoned Journeyman—to join our specialized construction team.
...
This role isn't about repetitive shop work; it’s about high-energy field execution on diverse commercial projects. We hire for character first: you must be Hungry, Humble, and Smart. If you are a team player who values Respect Above All and thrives in a non-union, "all-hands-on-deck" environment where you aren't afraid to pick up a tool outside your trade to help the crew, we want to talk to you.
Advantages
Wage: Early $40s/hour for Journeymen (scaled based on experience).
Project Bonuses: Earn a bonus on every project completed.
Incentives: Additional rewards for efficiency and hitting project milestones.
Stability: Full-time, year-round work with no "slow seasons."
Full Benefits: A comprehensive health and dental package.
Travel & Growth: Opportunity to work on high-profile commercial developments across Canada and the US.
Responsibilities
Commercial Installation: Lead or assist in the wiring, conduit bending, and electrical setup for large-scale commercial structures.
Systems Integration: Install and troubleshoot lighting systems, power distribution, and specialized HVAC electrical components.
Field Collaboration: Work closely with the Lead Installer/Site Super to ensure total project success—helping the team with non-electrical tasks when needed to get the job done.
Safety & Quality: Take ownership of your on-boarding and strictly adhere to HSE requirements. You must be willing to "slow down" to ensure the job is done right the first time.
Adaptability: Perform high-quality work in various environments, including new builds and retrofits, often working at heights.
Qualifications
Certification: Registered 2nd Year, 3rd Year, or Journeyman Electrician.
Versatility: Must be 100% comfortable working at heights and in varying outdoor/indoor weather conditions.
Travel Ready: Ability to travel project-to-project (approx. 20 weekdays per month).
US Access: Must qualify for US entry (80% Canada / 20% US travel split). Dual citizenship is a major asset.
Compliance: Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
Vetting: Must pass pre-employment Drug & Alcohol (D&A) testing and a Criminal Background Check (CRC) as required by project sites.
Location: Must be local to the Edmonton area.
