Responsibilities

• Underwrite basic to moderately complex commercial property and casualty insurance contracts, covering, pricing, production, and delivery, risk management, and local brokerage plan management.
• Evaluate risks and make underwriting decisions based on company guidelines, risk appetite, and pricing strategies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and clients, providing exceptional customer service and offering high-value solutions.
• Collaborate with other underwriters, brokers, and internal teams to foster profitable growth and achieve assigned monthly sales goals.
• Analyze data and trends to identify new business opportunities and develop marketing strategies to attract new business.
• Manage the submission, quoting, and commitment processes for new and renewal business, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness.
• Negotiate policy terms and conditions with brokers and clients, ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
• Significant experience in commercial property underwriting.
• Bilingualism (French and English) with excellent communication skills, essential for interacting with clients and partners across Canada.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
• Experience with a CRM and policy management systems.
