Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures to align with applicable laws and regulations.
Monitor and analyze regulatory changes, advising leadership on necessary adjustments to operations.
Provide training and support to staff to promote compliance awareness and adherence.
Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and external auditors.
Qualifications
5+ years of compliance experience in financial services industry or other regulated industry.
University degree or equivalent.
Prior experience in building and managing robust compliance frameworks, familiarity with regulatory landscape (OSFI, FSRA, FCAC, provincial regulators), and experience of working with diverse group of stakeholders to achieve milestones and deadlines.
Experience with Boards and Board committees and understands the roles, issues and concerns
Experience in change facilitation and re-engineering
Broad business knowledge and experience and understanding of organizational structure
Experienced in managing key external relationships and complex projects.
