Responsibilities
Architect and deploy end-to-end cloud data solutions, ensuring adherence to AI governance, data privacy, and enterprise security standards.
Establish and streamline DevOps methodologies, automated pipelines, and continuous deployment environments to optimize data delivery teams.
Operationalize advanced analytics, Business Intelligence infrastructure, MLflow pipelines, and emerging Generative/Agentic AI platforms.
Act as a technical authority, leading complex build efforts, providing architectural guidance, and mentoring junior engineers.
Perform root-cause analysis and performance tuning across data environments to ensure platform stability, high availability, and cost efficiency.
Liaise with cloud ecosystem vendors and internal cross-functional groups (Security, Infrastructure, Enterprise Architecture) to manage platform updates and evolution.
Promote code reusability, participate in vendor software evaluations, and maintain comprehensive technical design documentation.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 7 years in data engineering, platform design, BI, and advanced analytics environments.
Core Technical Expertise: Mandatory proficiency in Snowflake, Databricks, and Microsoft Azure cloud ecosystems.
AI & ML Exposure: Solid familiarity with Machine Learning platforms and Generative AI capabilities (e.g., Azure AI Foundry, Snowflake Cortex, OpenAI, or Google Gemini Enterprise).
Automation & Delivery: Proven track record with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and data pipeline tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Spark).
Leadership & Soft Skills: Strong technical leadership skills with a proven track record of mentoring junior staff, translating complex ideas, and driving consensus.
Asset: Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, or prior experience within the insurance and financial services domain.
Methodologies: Strong background working in Agile/SAFe environments.
Language Requirements: Fluency in French (spoken and written) with functional proficiency in English.
Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties. Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (both spoken and written).
