Responsibilities
As a construction director, your primary missions will be as follows:
Set up and lead the new department dedicated to large-scale residential projects;
Plan, organize, and supervise all phases of construction, from design to delivery;
Ensure project profitability through rigorous management of budgets and schedules;
Negotiate with strategic partners, cities, and subcontractors;
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with quality standards;
Ensure legal, environmental, and regulatory compliance for every achievement;
Represent the organization in strategic files related to housing and urban planning;
Optimize internal processes to promote continuous improvement within the department.
Qualifications
o succeed in this strategic role in laval, you must meet the following criteria:
Hold a university degree in engineering, project management, architecture, or urban planning;
Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of construction or real estate;
Have at least 3 years of proven experience in team management and leadership;
Demonstrate in-depth expertise in residential projects like condos and multi-unit housing;
Master common project management software and office suite tools;
Have excellent negotiation skills and ease with complex stakeholders;
Demonstrate an analytical mind and great proactivity in the face of technical challenges.
