Responsibilities
- Direct the activities of the accounting department in accordance with GAAP guidelines, including personnel assignments, month-end close, budgets, and forecasts
- Coordinate and oversee accounts payable, receivable, and payroll functions
- Review and approve daily and monthly over-time revenue recognition
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of all corporate reporting requirements
- Complete monthly variance analysis, evaluate financial performance, and identify cost over-runs or cost reduction opportunities
- Maintain the actual costing system and internal controls
- Support other departments to facilitate process improvements related to information systems and business process reporting
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a finance field required; CPA designation is required
- Minimum 7 years of experience in operational accounting required, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Atleast 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience is preferred
- Hands-on experience utilizing SAP is required
- Deep working knowledge and hands-on experience with US GAAP is a strong asset
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access
- Experience utilizing Power BI is considered an asset
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
