Ready to shape the financial future of a proud Canadian manufacturing company? Our client in Ville Saint-Laurent is seeking a dynamic and experienced Controller! With their current Controller retiring, this is a prime opportunity to step into a pivotal leadership role, inheriting a mature finance department and building on a strong foundation. We need a skilled and strategic controller to ensure a seamless transition and drive continued success with innovative, cost-effective solutions.

Responsibilities
• Leading month-end and year-end closing processes, preparing detailed financial statements, and analyzing actual results against budget.
• Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations, including tax, audit, and import/export requirements (CRA, MRQ, CNESST, and other government bodies).
• Managing all daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Maintaining and improving internal controls and financial systems.
• Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support company growth and operational efficiency.
• Monitoring and managing the financial statement impact of purchased and manufactured inventory, as well as goods in transit.
• Collaborating with department heads to provide financial insights for operational and strategic decisions.
• Managing the knowledge transfer and reporting accuracy during the transition from the outgoing Controller.
• Providing high-level oversight of HR functions, including payroll.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in accounting
- CPA Designation (a strong asset)
- 5 years' experience in a similar role within distribution or manufacturing companies
- ERP experience and intermediate Excel skills
- Bilingual (international exposure)
