As a conventional machinist in Ville Saint-Laurent (Montreal), you will play a key role in the manufacturing and maintenance of industrial packaging equipment. Your main responsibilities will include:
Manufacturing and Machining: Designing and fabricating precision parts for industrial packaging equipment.
Machine Tool Operation: Setting up and operating various conventional machines such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to ensure efficient production.
Maintenance and Adjustment: Repairing and adjusting dies and production tools to minimize downtime.
Technical Drawing Interpretation: Interpreting plans and sketches to adhere to exact tolerances and dimensions.
Quality Control: Performing rigorous checks to ensure that every part produced by the conventional machinist meets quality standards.
Versatility: Performing other related tasks, such as component assembly, to support the manufacturing team in Ville Saint-Laurent.
Qualifications
We are looking to fill a conventional machinist position, which is essential to our departments. Therefore, we are seeking a person with the following experience and qualities:
Professional Experience: Possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in conventional machining.
Education: A vocational studies diploma (DEP) in machining or equivalent expertise is an asset.
Technical Knowledge: Expertise in machining, the ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, and proficiency with precision measuring tools.
Communication: Possess good communication skills in French and a basic technical understanding of English.
Autonomy and Reliability: Be a resourceful, responsible, and organized individual capable of working independently.
