Responsibilities
Reporting to the Finance Department, the Corporate Accountant acts as a key partner in the financial management of the group's entities. The role involves a high level of autonomy and analysis, with direct involvement in financial processes, compliance, and the optimization of accounting practices.
- Actively participate in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Analyze financial results, explain variances, and provide recommendations to management
- Record and monitor fixed assets, depreciation, and ongoing projects
- Supervise and review operational accounting work
- Participate in the development of budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow analyses
- Contribute to improving internal controls and financial processes
- Participate in special projects: acquisitions, refinancings, restructurings, or portfolio growth
- Serve as an accounting point of contact for internal teams
Qualifications
- Degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- CPA certification or equivalent, a major asset
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Advanced Excel (Search V, Pivot Tables)
