We are currently hiring a Credit Administrator to work for a sports company in Oakville. This is a permanent opportunity. The ideal candidate is able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Also be effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Great attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure are required for this role.

Advantages

- Annual salary of $53,000 - $57,000 based on experience
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm with 45 minute lunch
- Benefits after 3 months, health, dental, life insurance and long term disability
- RRSP match up to 5%
- 2 weeks vacation, 5 personal days
- Frequent company events, including lunches, holiday celebrations and annual golf tournament

Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries related to invoices, statements, and payments
- Provide statements, backup documentation, and transaction details
- Support customer service inquiries related to the receivables department
- Receive and apply customer payments (EFT, cheques, wire, credit card)
- Issue credit memos, demit memos and adjustments when required
- Prepare AR aging reports and account summaries
- Contact customers regarding outstanding balances
- Release qualifying orders from credit hold in M3
- Escalate delinquent accounts to the credit manager
- Maintain professional and clear communication with customers
- Additional responsibilities that may be assigned by management.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or accounting role
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Willingness to continually learn and readily adapt to change
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Motivation to take initiative when tasks need to be done
- Working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- The temperament to handle multiple projects simultaneously
