Responsibilities
• Actively engage in all sales activities to drive revenue and customer satisfaction within the business administration framework.
• Maintain up-to-date, expert knowledge of industrial service offerings, including bearings, power transmission, and fluid power components.
• Prospect for new customers and demonstrate specific product benefits to grow the local market share.
• Build and nurture ongoing business relationships with customers through repeated contact and expert consultation.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries in person at the branch, via phone, or through email.
• Provide essential technical and administrative support to the outside sales force to ensure territorial success.
• Ensure accurate and timely order processing using the computerized system to maintain high service levels.
• Manage urgent customer requests during equipment breakdowns, providing rapid solutions and part identification.
• Occasionally perform hands-on duties requiring mechanical aptitude to assist with specialized shop services.
Qualifications
• 2 or more years of experience in Industrial or Fluid Power components sales.
• Proven track record in a customer care or sales environment within an industrial setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is considered a strong asset for this business administration role.
• High school diploma required; post-secondary education in a technical or business field is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site at the Stoney Creek location and support local branch operations.
• Strong sales and negotiation skills with a focus on value-added distribution.
• High level of mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand complex industrial systems.
• Proficiency in business administration tasks and computerized order entry systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with diverse industrial clients.
