Responsibilities
Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person at the branch, providing expert technical solutions
Directly manage all sales activities, including proactive prospecting and demonstrating product benefits
Build and maintain ongoing business relationships through repeated customer contact and consultation
Ensure accurate and timely order processing through computerized systems
Provide operational and administrative support to the outside sales force
Perform occasional hands-on duties that require mechanical aptitude to solve customer problems
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company’s extensive service offerings and technical specifications
Qualifications
2 or more years of experience in Industrial or Fluid Power components sales is highly preferred
Proven track record in a sales or customer care environment within a distribution or manufacturing setting
Strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn complex product specifications
Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is considered a strong asset
Must be able to work in person at the Stoney Creek, ON location (no remote or hybrid options)
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities used to address technical equipment issues
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective relationship management
Self-motivated and enthusiastic with a positive attitude and a desire to succeed
High level of attention to detail and professionalism in a busy, high-volume environment
Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Mechanical aptitude for occasional hands-on tasks in a service and parts center environment
