Responsibilities
-Key Responsibilities
HS Classification: Analyze product specifications to assign correct Harmonized System (HS) codes and ensure accurate duty payments.
-Documentation Audit: Review and prepare commercial invoices, B3/B13 forms, and Certificates of Origin (CUSMA/USMCA).
-Broker Oversight: Audit broker entries for accuracy and resolve any border clearance delays or "Notice of Redelivery" issues.
-Compliance & Reporting: Maintain digital compliance records and assist in periodic internal audits to mitigate the risk of AMPS (Administrative Monetary Penalty System) fines.
-Trade Programs: Administer duty drawback programs or tariff relief applications where applicable.
-Advisory: Provide internal guidance to the Logistics and Procurement teams regarding landed costs and regulatory changes.
Qualifications
-Candidate Qualifications
Education: College Diploma (DEC) in Logistics, International Trade, or Business Administration.
-Experience: 2–4 years of experience in customs brokerage or a corporate trade compliance role.
-Certification: CCS (Certified Customs Specialist) designation is highly preferred.
-Languages: Bilingualism (French/English) is mandatory for communication with local operations and international partners.
-Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
