D365 Change Management Consultant
Help Drive a Major D365 Finance & Operations Transformation
Contract: Approximately 6 months, through April 2027
Start Date: Targeting mid-October; end of October acceptable
Location: Fully Remote GTA office available for those who prefer onsite
Level: Intermediate
Project: D365 Finance Implementation
...
The Opportunity
Be part of a major enterprise transformation as a D365 Change Management Consultant supporting the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
This is a brand-new D365 implementation that will move the organization completely off another ERP platform. The project is already underway, with the broader change strategy, communication approach and training roadmap established by senior change-management leaders.
We’re looking for a hands-on D365 change professional who can take that strategy and bring it to life — working directly with SMEs and business stakeholders, identifying impacts, translating UAT sessions into practical documentation, developing training materials and helping employees successfully adopt new D365 processes.
D365 Finance & Operations experience is a key requirement for this search. We’re particularly interested in candidates who have been directly involved in D365 implementations, transformations or business-process changes and understand how to translate D365 functionality into clear, practical guidance for business users.
Ideal candidates will have experience supporting:
D365 Finance & Operations implementations
D365 business-process transformation
D365 change management or organizational change
D365 UAT and business-readiness activities
D365 user adoption and training
D365 process documentation, SOPs and job aids
Enterprise ERP implementations involving multiple business functions
Experience with Oracle Financials or other ERP platforms can also be valuable, particularly where candidates have strong hands-on change-management experience. However, D365 F&O experience will be prioritized.
Areas of Focus
The role will support operational and cross-functional processes within the D365 transformation, including:
Operations
Inventory
Expense management
Project financials
Business-process changes
General employee processes such as expense claims
Cross-functional stakeholder impacts
The dedicated Finance team has its own resources handling Finance-specific SOPs and related activities, so this role will have a particularly strong focus on Operations and enterprise-wide processes.
Your Change Management Toolkit
You’ll be successful in this role if you enjoy taking complex information and turning it into something people can actually use.
You should be comfortable creating:
SOPs
Job aids
User guides
Training materials
Process documentation
Change-impact assessments
Training schedules
Progress updates
UAT-based documentation
Other change-management artifacts
Strong documentation and artifact-creation skills are essential. You should be able to listen to a UAT session, understand what is changing, identify who is impacted and turn that information into a clear, practical resource for the business.
And this role goes beyond documentation — you should also be comfortable presenting information and delivering training to business users.
Who You'll Work With
You’ll collaborate across the organization with:
Operations SMEs
Finance stakeholders
Change champions
Procurement teams
General employees and business users
ERP and project leadership
Other change-management and project consultants
This is an opportunity to work across multiple business functions and see firsthand how an enterprise D365 transformation impacts the organization.
Tools & Environment
You’ll work with tools including:
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
Azure DevOps
SharePoint
Microsoft Office / email
Existing project and change-management templates
There is already a Phase One framework in place, but you’ll have the opportunity to improve and adapt materials where it makes sense.

he role will support operational and cross-functional processes within the D365 transformation, including:
Operations
Inventory
Expense management

Cross-functional stakeholder impacts
Responsibilities
