Responsibilities
•Gather, document, and analyze business and data requirements
•Translate business needs into data solutions and enterprise data products
•Design end-to-end data solutions, including data flows, models, and ETL mappings
•Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models
•Build and refactor SQL-based ETL processes and support data integration work
•Reverse engineer legacy ETL systems and source-to-target mappings
•Ensure solutions align with enterprise data architecture and governance standards
•Collaborate with data architects, governance teams, and business stakeholders
•Implement and support medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold layers)
•Support modernization of legacy systems and improve financial reporting data processes
•Produce clear documentation for designs, requirements, and solution validation
•Communicate technical concepts, issues, and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
•7+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Data Modeler
•Strong hands-on experience with SQL programming and ETL development (including refactoring)
•Experience with data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical) and data integration
•Experience working with Azure Data Platform and Databricks
•Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Apache Spark
•Experience reverse engineering legacy ETL solutions (e.g., DataStage)
•Strong understanding of data architecture, data lineage, and data governance principles
•Experience implementing or working within medallion architecture
•Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
•Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
•Ability to work in Agile environments
Assets (nice to have):
•Experience with erwin or other data modeling tools
•Knowledge of CI/CD practices
•Experience with Denodo data virtualization
•Power BI development experience
