Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily physical handling and documentation of inbound shipments, ensuring data integrity and operational efficiency.
Daily Physical Receipt: Process and manage the daily physical receipt of boxes and equipment delivered by UPS.
Handling & Sorting: Efficiently unpack and sort incoming equipment in the warehouse area.
Accurate Data Entry: Utilize keyboards or scanners to enter data, including serial numbers, into specific data fields with a high degree of accuracy.
Quality Control: Proactively locate and correct data entry errors or promptly report them to supervisors for resolution.
Team Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a 6-person team, providing assistance where required to maintain workflow.
Physical Activity: Be prepared for a hands-on role that requires lifting and standing for the duration of the shift.
Qualifications
Must-Have Hard Skills
Warehouse/Logistics Experience: Proven background in a warehouse or logistics environment (1-2 years experience).
Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for the duration of the 8-hour shift.
Data Documentation: Exceptional ability to document information accurately (strong attention to detail is paramount).
Technical Proficiency: Previous experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) for basic documentation.
Soft Skills & Experience
Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to data entry and physical inventory management.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for team and supervisory interaction.
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a small team environment.
Time Management: Ability to manage one's time and tasks effectively to complete daily responsibilities independently.
Nice-to-Have (Preferred)
Certification: Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience.
Forklift Certification: A current Forklift Certification would be highly beneficial.
