Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with domain Data Leaders to translate strategic visions into actionable governance roadmaps.
Establish, deploy, and refine operational data governance standards, frameworks, and workflows across business units.
Drive foundational governance activities, including data domain classification, business glossary definitions, quality assessment, lineage mapping, and lifecycle management.
Gather data requirements from business partners, converting them into clear user stories and backlog items within an Agile framework.
Facilitate interactive discovery and alignment workshops with cross-functional teams and external solution vendors.
Champion a data-centric culture by communicating and demonstrating the tangible business value of sound governance practices.
Qualifications
Experience: 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in a data governance advisory or specialist role.
Technical Expertise: Demonstrated hands-on experience utilizing Collibra for data cataloging or governance initiatives.
Methodology & Process: Strong track record in defining guidelines, procedures, and data management frameworks; familiarity with Agile and Lean methodologies is a strong asset.
Core Competencies: Highly organized, proactive, autonomous, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in evolving business environments.
Industry Experience: Previous experience in banking, wealth management, or insurance is considered a definite plus.
Language Abilities: Fluency in French along with working proficiency in English.
Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties. Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (both spoken and written). In particular, this position will require the employee to interact with centralized internal departments (e.g., Operations / HR / Finance / Legal / Contracts / Sales) that support the organization in Canada and that do not speak French.
