Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Data Quality Engineers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and establishing QA best practices.
Data Strategy & Testing: Define and implement enterprise-wide data quality strategies for Data Warehouse and modern cloud data platforms.
Requirement Analysis: Translate complex business requirements into comprehensive data validation scenarios and end-to-end test strategies.
Pipeline Validation: Validate end-to-end ETL/ELT data pipelines to ensure absolute data accuracy, integrity, and completeness.
Automation Frameworks: Design, develop, and maintain automated data quality and regression testing frameworks.
Data Profiling & Reconciliation: Perform source-to-target validation, reconciliation, transformation testing, and data profiling.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with Business Analysts, Data Engineers, Product Owners, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve data quality issues.
Root Cause Analysis: Identify root causes of data anomalies and partner with development teams to drive permanent resolutions.
Agile Integration: Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Governance & Monitoring: Establish data quality metrics, dashboards, and governance practices to continuously monitor data health.
Release Verification: Support release validation, production deployments, and post-release data verification.
Qualifications
Experience: 7+ years of hands-on experience in Data Quality Engineering, ETL/Data Warehouse testing, or related Data Engineering roles.
Leadership: Proven experience leading, managing, or mentoring a team of Data Quality or QA professionals.
Agile Expertise: Strong background working within Agile software development environments.
Education: Bachelor’s degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience).
Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of modern data ecosystems, automated data testing tools, source-to-target reconciliation, and complex SQL/ETL validation methodologies.
