Responsibilities
The Deputy Director – Corporate Accounting will play a key role in overseeing the accounting operations of the head office while ensuring compliance with accounting and regulatory standards. He/she will actively contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, the harmonization of practices among entities, and various financial transformation projects at the group level.
- Frame and support a team of professionals in corporate accounting.
- Supervise the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.
- Ensure the accuracy of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS) and internal policies.
- Collaborate with the accounting teams of international subsidiaries to ensure uniformity of practices.
- Act as a point of contact for complex accounting or integration issues.
- Actively participate in projects to improve accounting processes and modernize ERP systems.
- Identify opportunities for automation, centralization, or digitization of accounting activities.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative solutions to improve the financial efficiency of the group.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and governance policies.
Qualifications
- Professional accounting title CPA or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
- Experience in a multinational company or accounting firm (asset).
- Excellent team management, coaching, and talent mobilization skills.
- Strong analytical mindset, rigor, and ability to thrive in a constantly evolving environment.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS standards and understanding of consolidation.
- Bilingualism in French/English required (international environment).
