The Design Services Liaison role is focused on efficiently and effectively incorporating change into the Technical Data Package. They collaborate with the Design Engineering Liaison team and are the primary source of CAD support for investigating and developing change concepts.

Responsibilities
•Contribute to minimizing changes by providing valuable insights and suggestions.
•Ensure that all changes consider the fit, form, and function criteria to comply with Configuration Management principles.
•Confirm that all changes meet regulatory requirements and are clearly marked as needed.
•Demonstrate the appropriate application of GD&T fundamentals in both individual components and complex assemblies.
•Experience with defence, and/or mobile equipment standards (e.g. MIL-Specs, ASME standards, SAE standards, FMVSS, etc.).
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
•University Degree or College Diploma in an Electrical or Mechanical field
•1-3 years relevant experience modelling and drafting using NX CAD software
•Experience using 3D design software such as Siemens NX, Solidworks or Autodesk Inventor
•Effective communication, interpersonal, organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to communicate complex information
•Advanced computer skills in MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
•Ability to travel (5% Cdn) and (5% US & International) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
Preferred Qualifications
•5+ years mechanical design utilizing CAD tools in a related industry
•Knowledge of military drawing practices including MIL-STD-100 and related ASME Y14 series standards
•Knowledge of the application and interpretation of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) from piece parts to complex assemblies as well as extensive knowledge of military drawing practices including MIL-STD-100 and the ASME Y14 series of standards
•OACETT certified Mechanical Technologist or Technician (CET) with specialty in mobile equipment
