In this high-impact engineering leadership role, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of custom software components and service-based architectures supporting Enterprise Content Management (ECM) assets and high-volume transaction processing systems. Operating at the intersection of core banking applications and cloud technology, you will guide technical design decisions across distributed microservices, event-driven integrations, and batch workloads. The ideal candidate pairs 8+ years of deep Java/Spring Boot and Kafka development expertise with hands-on technical leadership, AWS cloud integration experience, and a strong track record of mentoring development teams.
Duration: 6-Month Contract (with high potential for extension)

Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture: Lead the design, development, and implementation of custom software components and service-based architectures supporting ECM assets and document processing solutions.
Integration & Microservices Engineering: Design and build resilient integrations using Java, Spring Boot, REST/Open APIs, and Kafka to connect ECM systems with upstream and downstream core applications.
Cloud & Batch Workload Integration: Architect AWS-based document workflows using AWS Lambda, AWS Batch, and Amazon S3; lead batch-oriented integrations supporting high-volume document ingestion and transaction processing.
DevOps & Automation Standards: Guide engineering squads in implementing CI/CD automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and container orchestration using GitHub Actions, Harness, ArgoCD, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and BMC Control-M.
Engineering Standards & Mentorship: Establish development standards, code quality, automated testing, security, and operational reliability practices; mentor developers to elevate overall engineering capability.
Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate closely with solution architects, product owners, security teams, and business partners to align technical strategies with business objectives and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Professional Experience: 8+ years of progressive software engineering and technical leadership experience building scalable, distributed enterprise applications.
Core Java & API Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST / Open APIs, and Microservices architecture.
Event-Driven & Messaging Frameworks: Extensive hands-on experience designing event-driven architectures and messaging pipelines utilizing Apache Kafka.
AWS Cloud Integration: Practical experience designing cloud-native workflows using AWS Lambda, AWS Batch, and Amazon S3.
DevOps & CI/CD Tooling: Strong familiarity with containerization and automation frameworks, including Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD.
