Responsibilities
Here are the responsibilities for this DevOps Engineer at this Logistics and Healthcare Supply Chain leader in Montreal;
DevOps Strategy & Ownership:
Own the end‑to‑end DevOps vision, roadmap, and strategy for the organization, operating independently to evaluate and select tooling for long‑term scalability.
Cloud Architecture & IaC: `
Architect, deploy, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure using Terraform and HCL, including governance of networking, identity policies, and cost optimization.
CI/CD for Mobile & Web:
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for microservices, mobile (Swift/Kotlin), and web (Angular/TypeScript) applications, utilizing tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Bitrise.
Containerization & Orchestration:
Govern Kubernetes (AKS) deployment patterns and manage Docker image standards, ensuring secure and scalable workload management.
Observability & Reliability (SRE):
Set up monitoring systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry) and lead incident response efforts to reduce MTTR and enhance system reliability.
Security (DevSecOps):
Implement security best practices including SAST/DAST, dependency scanning, and vulnerability management, while leading responses to cybersecurity audits.
Qualifications
Here are the qualifications required for this Field Services Technician at this Logistics and Healthcare Supply Chain leader in Montreal;
Experience:
Minimum 7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure roles, with a proven ability to operate independently as the sole DevOps engineer.
Cloud Expertise:
Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including AKS, networking, SQL Server, and .NET/C# microservices environments.
Infrastructure as Code:
Proficiency in Terraform and HCL is required for architecting cloud infrastructure.
Pipeline Tools:
Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and specifically Bitrise for mobile workflows.
Development Knowledge:
Familiarity with mobile (Swift, Kotlin) and web (Angular, TypeScript) development workflows, as well as Firebase (Firestore, Analytics).
Language:
