Located in Laval, our partner company specializes in the design, manufacturing, and installation of custom laboratory furniture and equipment for the construction and manufacturing sectors. In short, the director of estimation will be tasked with leading a team of dedicated professionals, overseeing the entire bidding process, and optimizing cost estimation tools directly from our offices in Laval.

Responsibilities
On a daily basis, the director of estimation will perform the following tasks simply, smoothly, and efficiently:
Plan, organize, and coordinate the overall daily activities of the department.
Manage, mentor, develop, and support the dedicated team of six professionals.
Implement and continuously improve bidding methods and procedures.
Review major project bids to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
Collaborate actively with the sales department to build customer loyalty and support the distributor network.
Implement new technological software designed to assist with quantity takeoffs and cost estimation.
Qualifications
To thrive in this role as a director of estimation, we are looking for a clear, open profile without being overly demanding:
A relevant college diploma or technical education in cost estimation, architecture, engineering, or equivalent field experience.
Relevant experience in cost evaluation within a general contractor or specialized subcontractor environment.
Practical experience in personnel supervision to effectively guide and support the team.
Good familiarity with industry software, particularly Excel and digital takeoff tools.
Positive leadership, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and an excellent ability to collaborate with others.
