Responsibilities
- Reporting & Audit: Responsible for issuing consolidated financial statements, management reporting, and leading annual and tax audits.
- Strategy & Budget: Oversight of the annual budgeting process, forecasting, and long-term strategic financial modeling (3-year plan).
- Treasury & Risk: Debt management, monitoring of bank covenants, and application of foreign exchange (FX) policies.
- Governance: Implementation of internal controls, accounting policies, and ensuring full tax compliance.
- Leadership: Management, coaching, and performance development of the accounting team.
Qualifications
- Experience: More than 5 years of relevant experience in a financial leadership role.
- Education & Designation: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA designation is a strong asset.
- Expertise: Proven experience in financial planning, analysis (FP&A), and budgeting.
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables and advanced lookup functions).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingualism: Full bilingualism (French and English, oral and written) is required to support stakeholders across different regions.
* "As the company conducts a significant portion of its business outside of Quebec, the incumbent will be required to communicate regularly with English-speaking stakeholders. Consequently, proficiency in English (both oral and written) is an essential requirement."
