Responsibilities
- Performs rigorous cost and price control by applying the standards established by head office;
- Adequately manages inventories and informs their superior of any anomalies;
- Ensures the management and maintenance of the vehicle fleet and monitors costs;
- Ensures compliance with transport-related laws and ensures the application of rules and standards;
- Ensures the application of the health and safety program issued by head office;
- Enforces safety rules for all employees in their sector;
- Ensures that transport operation results meet the needs of the clientele served;
- Participates in interventions during exceptional situations: considers the situation, identifies the required resources, evaluates scenarios and potential problems, takes action, evaluates the results, and completes required reports;
- Ensures that drivers complete defect or accident reports;
- Performs optimal management of hours worked, driving hours, and hours recorded in the logbook using available tools.
- Ensures that credit policies are respected;
- Ensures that customer information requests are answered promptly and adequately;
- Evaluates customer satisfaction and makes necessary corrections.
Qualifications
- Good knowledge of road transport regulations;
- Good knowledge of reading and interpreting road maps;
- Very good knowledge of regulations governing the transport of dangerous goods;
- Very good knowledge of petroleum products and/or lubricants;
- Good knowledge of WHMIS rules;
- Good knowledge of CPPI standards;
- Basic knowledge of inventory management techniques;
- Basic knowledge of mechanics;
- Good knowledge of the French language (spoken and written);
