We are expanding our logistics team in Mirabel! We are seeking an aggressive, sharp-witted Logistics Dispatcher who can seamlessly handle two vital areas of our fleet: managing our local LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) regional runs and driving our FTL (Full Truckload) Cross-Border operations between Canada and the USA.
...
Operating entirely with 53ft Dry Vans, this role requires someone with top-tier tracking, tracing, and—most importantly—strong negotiation skills to maximize equipment utilization and manage lane margins.
Advantages
Guaranteed 40-Hour Salary: Financial stability with a consistent, predictable weekly income. No fluctuating hours or seasonal dips.
Better Work-Life Balance: Enjoy an 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM schedule. No early 6:00 AM starts, and absolutely no evenings or weekends.
Paid Time Off: Start with 2 weeks of paid vacation plus 3 dedicated personal days for appointments, family, or unexpected needs.
Free On-Site Parking: Free, hassle-free parking right at our Mirabel facility.
Responsibilities
FTL Cross-Border & Regional LTL Management
Cross-Border Execution: Plan, route, and dispatch FTL freight moving between Canada and the USA, ensuring total compliance with customs, paperwork, and border requirements.
Regional LTL Routing: Coordinate daily LTL pickups, drop-offs, and load consolidation across local Montreal (MTL) and Ottawa, Ontario (ON) lanes.
Aggressive Negotiation: Source external capacity when needed, negotiate competitive freight rates with brokers/carriers, and secure profitable margins.
Qualifications
Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on transport dispatching experience.
Equipment Mastery: Direct experience handling 53ft Dry Vans (both LTL and FTL).
Geographic & Market Knowledge: Solid understanding of the local Montreal/Ottawa lanes and standard Canada/USA cross-border shipping corridors.
Work Environment: Fully dedicated to working 5 days a week on-site at our Mirabel office.
Summary
A Great Personality: You are high-energy, positive, and authoritative yet respectful with drivers. You know how to command respect and keep wheels moving.
Strong Negotiation Skills: You don't just accept the first rate offered. You love the art of the deal, know how to handle brokers, and can push for better margins. Your specific talent here makes your starting salary highly negotiable!
