We are seeking a motivated, high-energy LTL Dispatcher to join our team in Mirabel. In this role, you will manage local and regional freight movements, focusing entirely on Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) shipments utilizing 53ft Dry Vans.
This is a purely domestic role (No Cross-Border) covering local Montreal (MTL) and Ottawa, Ontario (ON) lanes. If you excel at tracking, tracing, and building great relationships with drivers and clients, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Tracking & Tracing: Actively monitor shipments in real-time, ensuring punctual pickups and deliveries across the MTL and Ottawa regions.
LTL Dispatching: Efficiently coordinate and optimize LTL loads for 53ft dry vans.
Driver & Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing clear instructions and resolving local transit issues on the fly.
Data Entry: Maintain accurate logs of trailer statuses, arrival times, and delivery confirmations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in transport dispatching, specifically tracking and tracing dry van freight.
Geographic Knowledge: Strong familiarity with the local Montreal (MTL) and Ottawa, ON transport networks and routes.
Industry Expertise: Solid understanding of LTL logistics operations.
Work Environment: Comfortable working 5 days a week on-site at our Mirabel office.

Responsibilities
-Plan and Route: Coordinate daily LTL pickups and deliveries for 53ft dry vans across the local Montreal (MTL) and Ottawa, Ontario lanes.
-Driver Management: Assign loads, communicate clear trip instructions, and dispatch drivers efficiently from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
-Optimize Capacity: Maximize trailer space for Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) freight to ensure profitable and efficient routing.
-No Cross-Border Oversight: Focus 100% on domestic lanes, ensuring drivers comply with local Quebec and Ontario transport regulations.
Qualifications
-1 to 3 Years in Transport: Proven experience working in the transportation or logistics industry as a dispatcher or logistics coordinator.
-Dry Van Expertise: Direct experience managing and coordinating 53ft dry van equipment.
-LTL Operations Knowledge: Strong understanding of Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) freight dynamics, including consolidation, terminal networks, and maximizing trailer capacity.
-Tracking & Tracing Proficiency: Strong background in real-time freight tracking, monitoring ETAs, and using transportation software or GPS tools.
