Over the past sixty years, Our Client has gained exclusive distributor rights to some of the industry’s most prestigious brands. The company specializes in the distribution of nostalgic brands such as Tootsie Roll, Dubble Bubble, Ring Pop®, McCormicks, PEZ and Rockets, to name a few, and distinguishes itself through seasonal innovation.

They are looking for someone with experience in Dispatching local shipments.

Advantages
-Contractual position from November-March
-7:30am-4:30pm Monday to Friday
-28$-35$/hour depending on experience

Responsibilities
-Organizing and scheduling the day-to-day incoming and outgoing shipments across their distribution center network
-Acting as the primary point of contact for external carriers, truck drivers, and logistics providers to coordinate pickup and delivery timelines
-Developing efficient delivery routes and tracking freight movements within the supply chain to ensure on-time delivery to major retail and wholesale clients
-Partnering directly with warehouse supervisors, forklift operators, and customer service representatives to streamline cross-docking and order fulfillment
-Managing shipping manifests, bills of lading, and freight tracking data

Qualifications
-Minimum of 2 years of previous dispatching experience
-Must be available to work overtime on evenings/weekends as needed
-Ability to handle fast-paced, high-pressure shift environments, especially during seasonal candy rushes
-Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and computer routing software, though historical reviews note some departments still retain paper-heavy processes
