The successful candidate will be a tenured sales professional who thrives in a hands-off, trust-based environment and is capable of running their own regional business. This is an individual contributor role, responsible for driving market growth by creating demand and pull-through sales via established distributor networks to major industrial end-users.
Advantages

Responsibilities
- Territory Management: Take full ownership of the assigned geographic region (Eastern Ontario, Near North, and split GTA), acting as the primary business leader.
- End-User Focus (70% time): Spend the majority of time (approx. 70%) on-site with industrial end-users (e.g., in the forestry, automotive, and heavy industrial sectors) to provide value, build trust, and secure specifications for company products.
- Distribution Strategy: Work with established distribution partners (e.g., Motion Control and Industrial Supply companies) to facilitate the sale of products. Understand that distributors are business partners, not direct customers.
- Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with key contacts who manage MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) spend, including Maintenance Superintendents, Plant Managers, and Buyers.
- Business Development: Focus on warm leads within the distributor's client base; cold calling is minimal.
- Travel: Manage a travel schedule of approximately 40% on the road;
- Planning & Reporting: Create and maintain effective plans and reports using provided sales tools.
Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of related industry experience (e.g., Power Transmission, Motion Control, Industrial Manufacturing, or closely related heavy industrial fields).
- Education: Post-secondary education in Business, Mechanical Engineering, or a Technologist qualification is preferred, but relevant industrial sales experience is prioritized over a degree alone.
- Technical Aptitude: Proven mechanical aptitude and strong communication skills to provide value to technical clientele.
- Must be an independent, tenured, and self-motivated professional who is comfortable working autonomously and managing significant responsibilities.
