As a drafting department manager, you will be at the heart of operations at our head office located in Laval. This crucial role involves coordinating the drawing room, distributing workloads, and ensuring quality control for all plans produced for our design-build projects. Manage the technological transition and provide coaching between AutoCAD and Revit users.
Identify training needs and actively participate in recruiting new talent.
Lead monthly team meetings to improve communication and group cohesion as a drafting department manager.
Ensure compliance with SMACNA and ASPE standards in all deliverables.
Qualifications
Diploma in building drafting or a DEC in building systems mechanics.
Over 10 years of experience in HVAC or piping drafting.
Mandatory experience working for a mechanical building contractor.
Proven leadership skills and ability to resolve conflicts.
Mastery of AutoCAD and Revit/BIM environments.
Strong communication skills and professional rigor.
