Responsibilities
your day-to-day responsibilities
as an electrical building engineer, your main missions will be clear and rewarding. you will be required to:
design plans and specifications for electrical systems for various projects.
actively participate in the planning, study, and evaluation of designs.
effectively coordinate work with technicians, drafters, and other professionals involved.
ensure installations comply with the Electrical Code and other applicable standards.
supervise work on construction sites and participate in project meetings.
maintain excellent relationships with clients and ensure rigorous follow-up on files.
participate in the preparation of cost estimates and quotes.
Qualifications
the qualifications we are looking for
to succeed in this role, we are looking for a professional who possesses:
a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
status as a member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
a minimum of two years of relevant experience in building electrical systems, ideally in consulting engineering.
a good knowledge of the National Building Code (NBC) and the Electrical Code.
proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT software; knowledge of AGI32 is an asset.
comfort with project management and client relations.
a high degree of autonomy, rigor, and a strong ability to work in a team.
