We are currently hiring for Machine Operator supervisor roles for a 3 month contract with possibility for extension and even full time for the right candidate. If you are a student on academic drop or scheduled break and willing to do general labor work, we can hire you!
Location: Gurney Crescent North York ON
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm
Embroidery Machine Supervisor Job Qualifications and Functions::
-Strong understanding of embroidery machines, software, and tools to troubleshoot issues, ensure optimal machine performance, and provide technical guidance to team members.
-Experience with Adobe Illustrator/Corel Draw: Ability to export files from
Corel.
- Experience with Embroidery Digitizing Software (Tajima Preferred / Ioline): Capable of creating embroidery files and converting CDR files to EXPfiles. Proficient in using the software to add stops, arrange design elements in
groups of 3 or 6, and save the final design in DST format.
-Ability to lead and manage a team effectively, ensuring efficient work processes, adherence to deadlines, and high-quality standards.

Responsibilities
- An eye for detail to detect mistakes early, ensuring design accuracy and maintaining the overall quality of the finished product.
-Ability to troubleshoot issues with machines, designs, or materials quickly to maintain uninterrupted workflow.
-Operate Machines: Set up and run our embroidery machines to create designs, primarily laser-cut letters and numbers. You'll be responsible for making sure the stitches
(zig-zag or satin) are clean and precise.
-Prepare Products: Get garments and hats ready for the embroidery process. While some experience with hooping is a plus, it's not required—we'll teach you what you need
to know.
-Check for Quality: Inspect your work to ensure every piece meets our quality standards. This includes checking for correct placement, color, and stitch quality.
- Maintain Equipment: Perform basic daily maintenance and help troubleshoot any simple machine issues that may come up.
- Work with the Team: Communicate effectively with your supervisor and teammates to stay on schedule and ensure a smooth production flow.
Qualifications
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator/Corel Draw: Ability to export files from Corel.
- Ability to manage production timelines, prioritize tasks, and review schedules to ensure team members meet deadlines. Must adapt quickly in a fast-paced,
unpredictable environment and handle changing priorities, unexpected orders, or shifts in production needs.
