Responsibilities
Your Daily Responsibilities
As a Senior Construction Estimator, your main duties will be varied and crucial to the smooth running of our operations. You will be expected to:
Actively consult the SEAO platform to identify and analyze public project opportunities.
Prepare complete and competitive bids for commercial, institutional, and residential projects.
Take charge of and lead pre-closing and closing bid meetings.
Conduct site visits necessary for bid preparation.
Collaborate closely with project managers and be able to assist or stand in for them as needed.
Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain the best prices.
Qualifications
The Qualifications We Are Looking For
To excel in this role, you should possess a strong background and a proactive attitude.
Education: Hold a Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Building Estimation and Evaluation Technology, or a DEC in Architecture.
Experience: Have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in estimating within the public construction sector.
Software Skills: Proficiency in Excel, L'Estimateur Général software, and a good knowledge of Plan Swift.
Technical Knowledge: Possess an excellent understanding of how the BSDQ works.
Certifications: Hold a valid ASP Construction card.
Mobility: Have a vehicle and a valid driver's license for site visits.
Skills: Demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills, leadership, good judgment, and a great sense of initiative.
