As a luxury landscape estimator, you will serve as the financial and operational foundation of every build, analyzing plans, establishing accurate material and labor costs, and turning designer visions into clear, actionable budgets.

Responsibilities
In this role as a luxury landscape estimator in Montreal, your daily duties will be straightforward and focused on accurate planning:
Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and planting plans to perform detailed quantity take-offs.
Estimate labor, equipment, materials, and production rates for all categories of work.
Request and compare quotes from nurseries, material suppliers, and specialized subcontractors (excavation, concrete, electrical, irrigation).
Work closely with designers to identify potential cost issues early while preserving the original design intent.
Prepare complete budget proposals with well-defined project scopes, assumptions, and exclusions.
Hand over finalized project files to project managers and conduct post-project reviews comparing estimated costs against actual results.
Qualifications
To thrive as a luxury landscape estimator and support our growing operations in Montreal, we are seeking a motivated candidate with the following background:
3 to 5 years of experience in estimating or project management within landscape construction, general construction, or civil engineering.
Strong ability to read blueprints and conduct rigorous quantity take-offs.
Practical knowledge of construction materials, plants, site logistics, and production rates.
Proficiency with standard software tools such as Excel and AutoCAD.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
A diploma or educational background in landscape architecture is considered a strong asset, though not mandatory.
