We are looking for an experienced estimator to join a reputable company, a leading owner and manager of a large portfolio of shopping centers. This role is a key addition to the construction team, focusing on evaluating diverse commercial projects, while also offering involvement in project management during quieter periods.

A competitive base salary, adjusted to your experience, ranging from $80,000 to $120,000.
A true hybrid schedule: 3 days in the West Island Montreal office and 2 days working from home.
Flexible working hours (40 hours) to promote work-life balance.
Three to four weeks of vacation, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
Your responsibilities
Act as the primary estimator for projects (approximately 80-90% of the time).
Prepare detailed cost evaluations (materials, labor, equipment) from plans and specifications.
Analyze bids received from subcontractors and suppliers.
Collaborate with partners to optimize costs and identify alternatives.
Conduct occasional site visits (mostly within 1 hour of the West Island Montreal) to validate conditions.
Maintain the cost and supplier database.
Support the project management team with various related tasks during less busy periods (approximately 10-20% of the time).
Qualifications
Qualifications required
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as an estimator.
Essential experience in the commercial construction sector.
Experience gained with a general contractor (building structure).
Excellent ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
Good knowledge of estimating software (e.g., Stack, Estimator) and the MS Office suite.
Autonomy, organizational skills, and good priority management.
A diploma (DEC or Bachelor's) in engineering, architecture, or estimation technology is an asset.
