We’re seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician, either a 3rd Year Electrical Apprentice or a Journeyman Electrician to join our B Shift. The schedule runs Monday to Friday, 4:30 PM to 1:00 AM, with occasional evening or weekend shifts. This is a 6-month temporary position with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate. Overtime is available during our peak season, which continues through October.
This isn’t just another maintenance job . it’s a role where you’ll troubleshoot, repair, and improve production equipment while working alongside a supportive team. You’ll have the chance to work independently, think on your feet, and help keep a busy manufacturing environment running at peak efficiency.
Wage:
Journeyman Electrician: $42/hour
3rd Year Apprentice: $34–$35/hour

Responsibilities
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to reduce downtime.
Complete repairs and modifications to equipment as outlined in work orders.
Inspect equipment, utilities, and building systems, creating work orders for any issues found.
Coordinate with production supervisors to minimize disruptions to operations.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Work on projects related to production equipment in collaboration with supervisors.
Maintain accurate maintenance documentation.
Keep the workplace and parts warehouse organized and clean.
Support operations across both Edmonton plants.
Qualifications
3rd Year Electrical Apprentice or Journeyman Electrician certification.
Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments (preferred).
Familiarity with low and high voltage systems, PLCs, drives, and controls (an asset).
Mechanical aptitude — able to repair and replace motors, gearboxes, bearings.
Pneumatic and hydraulic repair skills (manifolds, valve packs, cylinders, hoses).
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
A proactive, safety-first mindset and adaptable work style.
Drug and alcohol testing will be required for successful candidates.
