Responsibilities
Local Infrastructure Management: Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, repair tracking, and regulatory compliance for buildings across the three sites under your management.
Strategic Fleet Management: Coordinate operational performance, maintenance, and optimization of the forklift fleet across North America (over 100 sites in Canada and the United States).
Project and Partner Governance: Lead major renovation and investment projects while negotiating and managing service agreements with external providers and suppliers.
Technical Expertise and Efficiency: Ensure the optimization and proper functioning of critical technical installations, including building mechanics (HVAC, plumbing), fire protection systems (sprinklers), and automation solutions. Operational mobility: Maintaining an active field presence through regular visits within our regional network, combined with occasional travel to Canada and the United States as required by operational needs.
Qualifications
Bilingualism: French and English required; English is essential due to extensive communication, with 70% of interactions involving government agencies and colleagues in the United States and outside Quebec.
Experience: Solid experience in facilities management, industrial maintenance, asset management, and multi-site operations management.
Education: Diploma in building mechanics or equivalent education/experience.
Technical Skills: Excellent command of HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection, project management, and automation.
Abilities: Collaborative leadership, strong sense of urgency, rigorous prioritization, proficiency in computer tools, and close collaboration with field teams.
Experience managing a large asset portfolio.
Experience in post-acquisition integration.
Experience in energy management and sustainability practices.
