Field Contract Administrator

Works under the direction of a supply chain manager. Is responsible for the ongoing support and follow-up with freight companies and customs brokerage agencies regarding movement and clearing of materials between locations.

Work with internal stakeholders to ensure there is clear understanding of customs requirements, and provide solutions to business problems.

Analyze past due reports and vendor shipment for products/vendors. Research and troubleshoot lost shipments or unexpected freight costs.

Work with Accounts Payable on vendor invoicing issues. Develop strong professional rapport with vendors. Work closely with freight carriers on inbound and outbound shipments.

Proficient in MS Office; specifically Excel with an intermediate/advanced proficiency. Makes decisions within scope of position and authority as well as independent decisions regarding planning, organizing and scheduling work for self.

Can also make decisions that have impact on the department. Considered an expert to ensure in managing 3rd parties to companies metrics of on time delivery of materials and or services. Can provide leadership and or mentorship to junior freight & customs coordinators.

High School Diploma; 10 plus Years experience.

This role will be on a site based rotation during the construction windows (Typically June - December each year) and working from Calgary in the non-construction windows.

Cedar Link Project is an expansion project on the Coastal GasLink Pipeline (CGL).

This role will be responsible for managing prime contractor agreements for workforce accommodation, major materials, and construction at the Mount Bracey Compressor Station site - a new compressor pad roughly 1.5 hours from Prince George BC.
