Responsibilities
- Develop and implement PLC and HMI programs (Rockwell RSLogix / FactoryTalk) for gas and water processing systems
- Configure VFDs, smart instrumentation, and network switches
- Select and size motors for pumps, compressors, and blowers
- Specify and configure instrumentation including RTDs, pressure transmitters, and flow meters
- Create wiring diagrams, low-voltage power distribution layouts, loop diagrams, and PLC/instrumentation control panel layouts
- Provide technical troubleshooting support during equipment build and test phases
- Guide and support technicians and electricians during installation and commissioning
- Travel to customer sites (primarily U.S.) for system service and commissioning
- Monitor and support on-site system operations remotely
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or related discipline) from a recognized institution
- Minimum of 8 years’ full-time experience in PLC programming within Canada or the U.S.
- Proficiency in Rockwell/Allen Bradley PLC and HMI programming, VFD configuration, and industrial network systems
- Hands-on experience with pumps, blowers, compressors, and industrial control valves
- Familiarity with oil/gas/water/waste industries
- Ability to install and fine-tune field instrumentation (e.g., solenoids, thermocouples, flow meters)
- Strong communication and customer service skills, including scheduling and maintaining service relationships
