Responsibilities
In this Finance Clerk role in Toronto, you will be responsible for the following:
- Assist in the possessing of daily financial transactions, including fund transfers, trade settlements, and dividend postings, ensuring accuracy across client portfolios and general ledgers.
- Manage and update the financial data for a large number of investment accounts, necessitating exceptional data entry speed and accuracy.
- Perform daily and monthly reconciliation of client investment accounts, cash accounts, and custodial statements to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly with back-office systems.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to understand their financial needs.
- Support the maintenance and update of accurate financial data within the portfolio management system, specifically focusing on cost basis, market values, and investment income allocation.
- Assist in the generation of internal reports on portfolio performance, asset allocation, and regulatory compliance data, utilizing strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
Qualifications
In this Finance Clerk in Toronto, you will require the following:
- Post-secondary education in business administration, accounting or bookkeeping is an asset.
- 1 + years of experience in collections and customer service is required.
- Experience with managing a high volume of accounts in great care and professionalism is required.
- Previous experience working within the banking or similar industry is a strong asset.
- Bilingual French proficiency is a great asset.
